Brand History
Donald Hess became interested in mountain winegrowing during a business trip to the Napa Valley in the mid‐1970’s. With further research, he found that Mount Veeder mountain vineyards had the ideal combination of soils and microclimates to produce grapes of distinctive character and flavor. This venture became The Hess Collection where the appreciation for unique mountain and valley fruit is expressed through artfully crafted wines.
This Pinot Noir is full of flavors of cherry, ripe plum and blueberry with notes of sandal wood and lovely soft tannins.
Hess Select was created to represent benchmark wines curated from the best wine growing regions in California.
Family owned since 1978, continuing the Hess family heritage and traditions with the 5th Generation Hess family.
